my story isn't finished yet, but 50,000 words in November and I got this beautiful picture :)
for the first time in at least a year or two. And I'm enjoying it! I wrote a whole bunch of it, years ago, but it never got finished, and I've wanted to expand and re-write it for a while, I just never did, for some reason.
But I was in the mood to write, and not in the mood for fic, and there's just something so awesome about playing in your "own" sandbox - because you can make the story go just about anywhere.
(Of course, in my head, the place is a weird mishmash of Star Trek, Star Wars, X-Files, and like... boarding school novels? & military espionage)
